This is an amazingly long episode xd such a joy to listen to you dive deep into the characters’ personality and relationships, also picking out the unreliable narrator bits (that I haven’t had time to rewatch and find out).
Don’t want to spam the discord channel so I thought I should leave comments here.

I love how you describe this! I was a bit baffled by the repeated destroying and recovering the data, and the way you interpreted that changed my view completely <3

I don't like the floating sex either lol It's really just the floating. Why are they floating. It looks kind of funny xd.
– Lestat and Louis' relationship through the lens of Louis' biased narration
It's interesting that you mentioned that the two of them in the first episode is difficult, and that it's not easy to see what Louis gets from Lestat. I have a different experience. I did read the book and watched the movie but I also forget most of it so I think I count as new to the series.
To me the first episode is the highest point of Lestat and Louis' relationship. I was so on board. And then from episode 2 it kept going downward and I didn't know whether I should be on board any more, until the very last episode.
I had no trouble believing that Louis was in love with Lestat from ep1. Maybe it's because I was completely gone for Lestat from the first scene he showed up, and sort of project myself to Louis. What Louis narrated in the church scene though, really cemented it for me, "For the first time in my life, I was seen." That line speaks to me a lot. Also Lestat is too good at 'staring into your soul' thing xd
It was harder for me to grasp why Lestat wants Louis so badly, not just in the first episode but throughout the show. It's partly my issue with love at first sight xd but also, like you said Louis was pretty mean to him at times, in contrast to Lestat very openly pursuing him. I could see why Louis couldn't make himself leave Lestat, despite how little he showed affection in his biased narration, or how monstrous or abusive Lestat could appear, because whenever I see Lestat show one small and genuine smile I want to forgive him everything even when Louis' story was still putting him in a bad light. It was harder to relate to Lestat partly because he is a very unique character and also we don't every get his pov. It was less comprehensible to me why he worked for Louis for so long despite so many rejections. I believe it only because it's very convincing when Lestat talks in that certain way (and have to constantly doubt my judgement…).
On the other hand, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe I haven't felt much of Louis loving Lestat for who he is in the first watch. It was more like he couldn't leave Lestat because Lestat seemed to be the only one who looks at him and loves him. After his brother died, that is. In that sense, yeah, maybe the romance is a bit lacking when you don't know how much Louis isn't telling.
– Louis’ accent
I agree that the accent work of Louis (and Lestat too) was fantastic! I’m not a native speaker and certainly not familiar with the accents he used, but I could recognize that he changes accents when talking to different people. I distinctively remember that when he was breaking down and confessing to the priest, his accent became so different. It sounds as raw and rough as his emotion. I guessed that he changed back to his native accent, but I’m not entirely sure. I really like that part.
I also love Lestat’s accent! I could tell that his French wasn’t perfect the longer I hear it, but he got that specific tone/vocal right imo! The sort of light, whispery vibe in French that attracts me a lot. I enjoy it a lot when his speech flows in and out of French seamlessly.
