You made it 👏I’m glad that I caught on the final bit of the ride XD It’s not often that I managed to follow something in real time haha.
About the feet in rocks, when I wrote that question I honestly forgot all about the rock in feet thing for Louis 😂 Of course there was connection there. If that’s the connection though, it seems more traumatic than calming 😂 I do see how that can be grounding, in a “not forgetting who you were/what you’ve been through” way? I like what you said about Louis not feeling truly safe in the years with Armand, and the dissonance between his feelings and knowledge regarding Lestat. And then he thought of Daniel because Daniel was simple and safe ❤️😆
The concept of sharing blood = sharing intimacy and ability is fascinating 👀 Maybe that’s why Louis couldn’t feel Lestat’s presence as strongly as he felt Madeleine’s? That could also be a distance thing though.
I think that scene in s1 where Lestat talked to Louis in his head was what made me think that maker and fledging could still do mind talking, just can’t read mind XD And then I was confused when Claudia was made. And then I thought the fledglings could read the maker’s mind XD Turns out Louis’ memory was a mess It’s all very confusing.
Lestat and Louis’ reunion was so good… “Did you hurt yourself?” T^T I don’t know if it’s inspired by something in the later books, but in comparison to the ending to the “interview of the vampire” book, this made me so happy. I think there’s a certain beauty in Lestat’s ending in the book? But I love the show’s version a lot better. Full of hope and love and “life”, even if Lestat was indeed at his lowest.
Daniel and Louis… I really hope they stayed friends… in the end of s2 they seemed on a pretty good term? Even though Daniel published that book without asking. So it’s probably not that bad? I’ve seen someone speculated that Louis is mad because Lesta is mad about the book and it hinders their relationship again XD I hope that’s the only issue. It seems easier to fix. Daniel wasn’t the most considerate in 2×8, yeah… I wish he was. But I can also see that he wanted to het something back after the shit he went through with the vampires 😂I have to constantly remind myself that they aren’t the best of friends yet. They just had an extraordinary journey together and they saved each other.
