This episode I love because even though it is early on you get how friendly everyone is with each other apart from Uther being a cake. It gave us a look at the dynamics of the castle. I remember first watching it and being very excited by the adventure. I am very late to the party 🥳

I think this was my favourite episode! I was having dinner while watching the show and I actually stopped eating when Arthur was trying to get the flower and the spiders were chasing him. The suspense! 😄 BTW, for very speedy spiders, they had a hard time catching up to Arthur..
I’d forgotten what a jerk Uther can be, he made me swear out loud when he crushed that flower. Why is he always so miserable?
Michelle Ryan looked like she belonged in a Vermeer painting, she was gorgeous as that servant. First of the GoT actors spotted! And I’m already kinda shipping Arthur and Merlin. 🤷♀️ BTW, is everyone able to do magic? I can’t remember what Gaius’ backstory is.

hahaha love that you let dinner get cold on your fork for arthur, making sure he didn’t die. that’s awesome. I love those moments when I catch myself doing something like that and realise that clearly I was more gripped than I thought I was haha
We will learn why Uther is so miserable, but honestly, he’s too bloody miserable for the explanation that we get… in that family television almost charitcature way that sometimes happens on the BBC.
I’ve never been entirely clear and honestly would quite like to know, if anyone can learn magic, or if you need to have a basic skill for it first. because it is definiely about learning and studying… so I don’t know. We’ll find out! haha
