Louis is a bad boyfriend <- yeah…
Wow there were so many fucked up stuff with Armand and Louis that I missed… I blamed that they interested me too little for me to pay attention to their scenes lol Maybe I should be suspicious at that point. I just assumed that the show gave Louis this new relationship to contrast Lestat’s so it must be relatively healthy?? Also I felt kind of bad for them, thinking that wow, a new relationship at this point? How does it rival with Lestat? They’ll have a hard time getting the audience on board. Turns out no, not getting people on board is the point lol I did think the story of Lestat and Armand a little odd. For me it was how quick he seemed to go with Armand and put Nicky behind. I feel like he’d hold a longer grudge, and his feeling for Nicky should be almost the same level as for Louis. But I brushed it off. It was only when it got to the mock trial that I seriously started to suspect Armand haha.
About the wrong photos, in the first watch I assumed they were put in by the real Rashid aka Talamasca, like the other stuff in Daniel’s computer, because of how Louis and Armand fought at the end of the episode. But Talamasca seemed to have even less motivation than Armand… unless it’s simply to create friction between Louis and Armand so that the real at the end could be accepted more easily. Armand’s reaction seemed to suggest that it was his doing, but I could also see that it was just how little he cared about who took those photos. If that’s the case, that scene was simply to show Armand and Lestat’s different stands on art? And to show Daniel’s flashbacks.
It made me so sad that Louis broke it with ghost Lestat 😭 even more than when Louis killed Lestat lol They were so sweet together… ghost Lestat made the whole Louis/Armand thing so much bearable…
